The next of my year-end marker blogs covers what and how I gamed in 2023; I almost doubled my new game experiences from the previous year, but I still feel like I’m not getting enough board games played, so perhaps I’ll address that in 2024.
Among games I went back to (and invested hours in) was 2014’s Far Cry 4, which I’d never finished first time around, and 2019’s Generation Zero, which became an unexpected team title for me and my regular on-line console gaming group. Battlefield 2042 was another standby that ate up plenty of our play-hours. My game of the year was the unexpectedly soothing Slow Roads.
