AUTHOR’S NOTES
Over year or so from 2002 to 2003, Big Finish Productions released a twelve-volume audio drama series called 2000AD Presents, featuring the comicbook characters of Judge Dredd, Mega-City One’s toughest cop, and Strontium Dog, the mutant search/destroy agent Johnny Alpha. Known for their experience with these “radio plays on CD”, this new medium brought the comic’s best-known heroes to life.
In the first ‘season’ of 2000AD Presents episodes, I wrote the real-time hijacking story Judge Dredd: Dreddline and Big Finish liked me enough to ask me back for the second series of discs; this time, my story concept about an international meeting of Chief Judges from around the world was joined by the return of some of Dredd’s most ‘personal’ foes and the plotline for Judge Dredd: Jihad was born…
A few scenes were deleted from the final cut of Jihad because of timing issues, but you can see them here.
