This weekend is the UK’s annual official Star Trek convention Destination Star Trek, and I’ll be along with my esteemed colleague Dr. Una McCormack to sign our books and talk about writing on the Final Frontier…
The event takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, and you can find full details about it right here.
On Saturday 26th, Una and I will be joined by CBS’s John Van Citters on the Excelsior Stage from 12:45pm to 1.30pm for the panel Star Trek: A Novel Idea – where we’ll talk about our Trek fiction and our work as authors.
Later that day, we’ll be signing books at the Forbidden Planet stand from 2:00pm to 2:30pm.
Then on Sunday 27th, John will be with us once again on the Excelsior Stage from 10:45am to 11.30am for a panel called Trekking Through 40 Years of Star Trek Books, where we’ll be discussing the history of Star Trek fiction and our favourite books in the saga.
Right after that, we’ll be signing books again at the Forbidden Planet stand 11:30am to 12:00pm.
Una’s also going to appear with the Trek Book Club on Sunday at 2:45pm to 3.30pm on the Excelsior Stage to discuss her Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel Enigma Tales, which will be a great in-depth deep-dive into her novel.
For those who asked, we’re both happy to sign books purchased at Destination Star Trek or from your own collections, and we do not charge for signatures!
If you’re at the event, come along and say hello!
