In a way, my novelistic career started in a dusty old ghost town in the Wild West; it was the year 2001, and after being motivated to try my hand at writing long-form prose, I created a series of young adult “steampunk westerns” called Sundowners. These books were my first original narratives, and while in later years I’d go off to other fictional universes to write about starship captains, space marines and time lords, I never lost the desire to create worlds of my own.
Flash forward fifteen years and the need to try something new, to break out of my comfort zone, became impossible to ignore. Having ventured into science fiction in the past, I decided to take on my other favourite genre and embrace the high-octane action thrillers I loved in the 1980’s and 1990’s with my Marc Dane novels – and beyond that, I’ve also written stand-alone thriller stories.
I’ve also written a few original short-form stories in the genres of military science fiction and horror, and I hope to continue with more in the future.
