I was excited to be invited aboard this project by the nDreams team back in 2019, as in all my years of working in videogames I’d never had the opportunity to script a narrative through a pure virtual reality system.
Phantom: Covert Ops works on the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift hardware, and it was a challenging remit to develop a tense, stealth-based action experience. I had a lot of fun writing the dialogue for this game, and it was a special thrill to write for the brilliant David Hayter (Metal Gear Solid‘s iconic hero Solid Snake), who plays our villain. I think we did a great job and I’m looking forward to seeing how players respond to our story…
